How to change default for Step Record Results

Each time I add a new step, the Record Results option is selected on the Run Options tab by default.  I would rather have the default be don't Record Results.

Is there an option somewhere in TestStand to change the default?

Hey buff,

If you are using 4.0 or later you can uncheck the record results for the default step and then drag it into your templates pane.  Then you just use that when building your sequence.  As far as I know there is not a way to change the default for Record Results without changing the step.

Hi,

Jigg is correct. If you are using a version lower than 4, then you could use a dummy sequence or sequence file as a template to hold pre-defined Steps.

The only way would be to create custom Step Types.
