IVI compliance package 2.2 with teststand 2.0

Hy,

I work with Teststand 2.0 and the IVI compliance package 2.2 and I do Fall time and Rise time measures on CAN low speed protocol with a remote scope Lecroy. If I do a data acquisition of one CAN frame (which contain several rise and fall front) and after, for example, I do a rise time measure on my previous data acquisition; I would like to know if the result of this rise time measure is the mean of all differents rise front or just the rise time measure of the rise front triggered.

Thank you for you help,

Xav

Hi Xav,

Alan from LeCroy Tech Support here...

Which particular model are you using?  Most LeCroy scopes can accumulate measurements, both in terms of multiple measurements per sweep and over many sweeps. You can read back the overall mean value of everything accumulated since the last time "Clear Sweeps" was executed, or you can read back the last measured value. You can also read back the min, max and standard deviation of all measurements. The attached image shows a LeCroy WP7300A that is running our CAN analysis software... (Older scopes operate in a slightly different manner... )

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,
Alan

Hy Alan,

My scope is a Waverunner 6050. My first question involve more the set up of the IVI compliance package 2.2 than the set up of the Waverunner. On the TestStand 2.0, if I create a sequence whose the goal is to do the acquisition of one frame on the CAN protocol and after it measure the rise or fall time of differents front, I will use and set up the IVI compliance package 2.2 to do that.

So my question is : When I use the IVI compliance package 2.2 for the rise time measure on the data acquisition, the measure calculate and returned by the IVI compliance package 2.2 is the mean of the different rise time front that compose the acquisition or just the rise time of the front tirggered ?

For information, after my discussion with your collegue, Mr Alhayek, it exists a gap on set up that is possible to use beetwen the Lecroy driver and IVI compliance package of NI. So, I would like to know really what is the measure returned by the IVI compliance package.

Best regards, Xav.

Hello Xav,

Sorry, but I don't know how to do this... You might want to try NI's email techsupport.

Best Regards,
Alan

Hi,

The IVI compliant package use the Lecroy fonctionnality, if this one have a particular function for measure the rise time when the front are triggered, the IVI compliant package use this functionnlity.

But i think that is not the case for this Scopes, i think the function you use is only to have the mean of all differents rise front.
