Hi,
It depends on which TestStand version.
For TestStand 1.x and 2.0.x, you can have three Input controls on the VI connector pane, Sequence Context, Input Buffer and Invocatio Info. These controls are availiable if enabled on the Edit LabVIEW VI Call Dialog when you specify the module. For the Output there is a Cluster called Test Data and also the Error Output Cluster. TestStand will automatically create the VI with the correct controls on the pane, depending on whats been enabled when you press the Create VI.. button on the Edit LabVIEW VI Call dialog.
There is a slight difference between the Limit Test Step Type and the Action Step Type. For Action Step Types, the Input Buffer and Invocatio Info controls are not available.
In addition, you can use the Active
X interface to get or set values into or out of labVIEW.
In LabVIEW there should be a TestStand palette which has all the available controls and a set of ready made functions.
For TestStand 3.0, you are not limited to, Input Buffer and Invocatio Info and Test Data controls and Indicators. You can link up any control or indicator on the VI connector pane.
Have a look at some of the labVIEW examples supplied with TestStand, eg the 'Computer Motherboard Test Sequence' found in 'C:\TestStand\Examples\Demo\LabVIEW\' folder and the TestStand Getting Started Manual.
Hope this help
