.NET Support in TestStand

Are there any plans for National Instruments to add a module adapter to enable access to code modules written in the Visual Studio .NET ADE (e.g. C#, or VB.NET). Currently, TestStand includes module adapters that connect with ActiveX Automation Servers and standard DLLs, but not .NET Classes. Any idea if NI is working on providing this capability in the next version of TestStand?

Hi ilevin350,

Thanks for expressing continued interest in the future of TestStand. To answer your question, I must state that National Instruments' policy in regard to unannounced product releases is to wait until the first official public announcement of the product to unveil any new features our products might contain upon release. You can be assured that National Instruments is constantly striving to make our products the most useful and innovative products on the market and integrating with the latest software technologies like Microsoft's .Net is a complementary combination that we believe will be very beneficial to the measurement and automation industry on into the future. We plan on promoting this through some already existing features in our vast softwa
re catalog and will most likely continue to increase the capabilities of National Instruments' software to integrate with .Net. Thanks again for your interest, just make sure to keep an eye out for new announcements as they are officially rolled out.
