Open sequence file to add break point in custom UI

I would like to open a sequence file in my UI to let the operator insert a breakpoint. I am customizing the Simple UI shipped with TS 4.0.

By now I can insert a breakpoint in the Sequence Display by using the IsEditor property node at IApplicationMgr but I am not allowed to open a sequence file from the Sequence Display. As I double-click the sequence I only get the properties dialog. All this as the OI is running.

This is expected behavior. You cannot edit the Sequence File, when it is still running.
