I am working on creating my TestStand Deployment, and while working on the files in the Workspace, it seems that everytime I open the .tsw file, I need to tell it where each file is.
In the workspace itself, it shows a red triangle icon on the logo next to the file name.
Instead of reloading the files, I have to go to the properties for each file, and tell it where the file it. VERY time consuming.
Is there another way to do this?

Moreover - what files exactly need to be part of my Workspace file??
All instrument drivers and subvis?
I understand that if I am using GOOP, then yes. But, what if not?

Hi Jauron,
The Red X with the white exclamation point inside indicates that the file has moved locations and is no longer where TestStand expects it to be. Are you moving the files around outside of TestStand? Are you using absolute or relative paths?
The Workspace File is an organizational tool to help you keep track of all the files required for your project. Can you let me know your TestStand version and OS. Additionally, can you describe what happens between one save and the next time you open up the Workspace File? If you save your Workspace file, close and re-open, do you see the same behavior?

Thanks for the info Michael.
I am using TS 2010 SP1, with Win XP.
I have not been moving the files, which is why I was confused.
This behavios doesn't seem to happen each and every time I save and close. More so, if I save, close, and not reopen for a few days.

If you've modified your Search Directories to point to different locations then you'll see this behavior. The .tsw is using the search directories to find your files in the .tsw (unless you've added them with Absolute Paths) so it if isn't finding your files you'll probably want to change your search directories to point to the correct paths for the files in your .tsw.

Are these the search directories I set in LV, or does TS have it's own defined?
Also, I made sure to use relative paths, so I wouldn't have this issue...
