Requirements Gateway nested requirements

Hello,

I'm new requirements gateway user and I wonder if I'm using it correctly.

I'm trying to define a requirement in a doc file covered in a child document and also by child of this child.

Example

Top File : REQ_1

Child file : { Cover REQ_1

                       REQ_11

                       REQ_12

               }

Child child file : Cover REQ_11

Of course the syntax is wrong but the principle is there. I'm trying to have a REQ_1 coverage of 50% (or 66%).

I've tryed  macro requirements but it does not seem to fit my needs. I do not want to have all low level requirements in the top level document.

Thanks

JF

Hi JF,

Unfortunately, there is no way to have a percentage of a specific requirement covered. In Requirements Gateway, either a requirement is covered or it is not. The percentage of the overall requirements covered is then displayed.

If you don't want to have low-level requirements in the same file as the high-level requirements, you can use the MultiWord Type to specify a directory of requirement files to read in as a single Requirements Gateway document. This way you can spread your requirements amongst multiple files.
