I am starting to edit and duplicate some sequence files that have a lot of repeated steps. The only difference in the repeats is that the current frequency is part of the step name. The frequency is set at the head of each repeated group via an expression. These names show up in the reports. It would clean up the sequences a lot if I could lop off the frequencies in the sequence but then have them appended in the reports. Is that doable?
thanks,

I would rename the SequenceCall -step the pre-expression.
just use Step.Name.
Hope this helps

Sounds good but call me Johnny Newbie. I don't quite follow. I have no pre-expression, the Expression steps have a Post Expression and the SequenceCall steps have status expressions. Are you saying I can put the step name in the pre-expression and then use that as the name somehow? The calculated step name needs to be something like "Set Channel Freq (2900 MHz)".
Thanks,
jvh

Doh! Using laptop for correspondence, never saw the bottom of your post where the example was attached. Will certainly run it. Thank you.

Juergen,
Just ran it. Most excellent, most excellent indeed.
Thank you again. I might just start to like TestStand after all.
