Set default numeric format in TestStand

I vaguely remember having solved this problem at the last company I worked at, but can't seem to remember how I accomplished it. Does anyone know how to setup TestStand to report numbers in the reports so that they display floating point (as opposed to engineering notation) numbers displaying only say 2 or 3 decimal places?

Thanks in advance for any responses that'll help me.

There is a "Default Numeric Format" setting on the Report Options dialog box. The Numeric Format of "%#.2f" would probably do it for you...

I don't see that option on the report settings dialog. I guess I should have mentioned that, for reasons that aren't in my control, I'm stuck with TestStand version 2.01

Hi David,

You should have it, have a look at page 15-7 of the User Manual (Manage Report, Report Options Dialog Box).

Thanks, I see it in the manual. Unfortunately, I'm forced to use a station model that was modified, and those parameters aren't there in my setup. At least now I know that I probably could have figured it out myself it it weren't for the people that provided a somewhat disabled station model. 😞

Hi Dave,

You can modifiy the ReportOptions, if you have available, via the Override Callback Sequence ReportOptions.

The ReportOptions container is passed to this Sequence during the early execution of the process model sequence, before it calls MainSequence.
Therefore, if you include the ReportOptions Sequence in your sequence file, you will beable to make the change as Scott suggested.

Hi Dave,

I think the property you will be interested in is Paramater.ReportOption.NumericFormat.

Interesting solution. I like the way you think 😉 I have meetings the rest of the day, but I promise I'll look into this next chance I get.

Thanks again,
David
