Source of Custom Data Type in Types palette

Is it possible to find the original source of a custom data type (or custom step type) in the types palette? If I use search, it seems to search only the sequence files. I would like to be able to know if a custom data type exists somewhere in the types palette (in one of the .INI files) other than the sequence file, and if yes where.

Hi Marc!

It should be located in the Types Palettes as shown in the image below.

Also I would check out the TestStand Custom Step Type Development Best Practices document as it is a great resource for more info on custom step types!

I hope this helps!

I know it can be found in the Types palette. What I want to know is if there is a way to find in which of the Types palette.

Is the only way to find where the custom type was created to click on each of the palettes MyTypes.ini, NI Database Types.ini, the current sequence file, etc. and search if it is were it was defined?
