Hi,
I would like to show all failure steps in Failure Chain when on-the-fly reporting is checked.
I'm using TestStand 2017, and I followed the like here http://www.ni.com/tutorial/4563/en/ and made it work by unchecking on-the-fly reporting in the report options.
However, it's nice to have on-the-fly report, so when I choose on-the-fly report, it still only shows the first failure step in the Failure Chain.
Anybody knows how to make the failure chain shows all failure steps when on-the-fly report?
Any response is appreciated.
Best regards

Hi,
Thank you for posting this question. I would like to check up on this post since no one in the community has gotten back to you yet.
Unfortunately, the way on-the-fly reporting is set up, you will have to choose between either showing all failure steps or reporting on the fly. I have found the file that would need to be edited in order to reconfigure on-the-fly reporting, but not even I have access to make changes to it.

Do you have the "Only Display Latest Results" options checked in the results processing options?
That option prevents all of the results from being stored in memory, which reduces memory usage but prevents the failure chain from being generated since those results may have already been purged.

Hi Trent,
Thank you very much for the reply, I did not check "Only Display Latest Results".

Hi Sara,
Thank you very much for the help. It would be nice if I can have all the failures in the failure chain even I chose on-the-fly report. I hope to have this fixed in the future version.
Best wishes
