TestStand Datalog Use Step Format Setting Resets

I have something unusual happening on two different testers using PXI controllers.  In TestStand 3.5, I use the Configure -> Datalog... to set the Numeric Precision to "Use Step Format".  I check the box and hit the OK button.  If I immediately go in to check the setting, the check box is unchecked.  The datalog results do not output using the step format.  It seems as if TS is in a state where it cannot store configurations.

Anybody have any suggestions on what to try here??

TestStand does not have this option by default.  Is this part of a Custom Process Model you are using?  You can check by switching to the default Sequential Model and seeing if this option still appears in the Configure Menu.
