TestStand not responding at non-existing path

If I have a sequence call in a sequence, but the file for that call no longer exists, it takes a very long time until TestStand respond. Often it hangs completely or I have to wait 1-2 minutes until I can correct the non-existing path of the file. Why? Is there a function in the background that searches for something that can possibly be disabled?

Could you please provide an information about PC you are using and the TestStand version as well?
