Hi Peeps
I have had a bit of spare time on my hands, so I have picked up on a few old projects I was working on, I am currently developing the following Teststand Custom Step steps
1. Comm Control - Basic RS232, GPIB functions
2. Custom Message Box Dialog (Company Logo Etc)
3. Device Info - Calibration information, Device Serial Number
4. DAQmx Control - Create DAQmx Task, Run DAQmx Tasks (Analogue I/O, Digital I/O etc)
The idea is that the drop in steps saves the Teststand developer time from developing code to control the Hardware and consentrate on the product. If any of the above intrest's anyone the please let me know and I will submit the source code.
Happy Coding
Dave

Hi Dave,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments. I think the step types you are developing sound really interesting and that it would be a really good idea to share your source code if you are prepared to do this.
Do you know about the community pages? They are located at www.ni.com/community and these offer a very good way of sharing your code with the development community. A good idea before you upload is to check both the TestStand examples and the community pages and make sure nobody else has already done this.
If they have already done it, look at their code and see if yours does something different or is easier to follow.
If you don't want to do this yourself, you can upload the code here and I can do the uploading for you though I encourage you to do it yourself as you put in all the hard work.
Please let me know your thoughts,
Many thanks,
