Hello there,
Objective: To have the OI updated with the current state of my LabVIEW-based test sequence, either by a message-popup or preferrable on the OI GUI.
The following article (Using Default and Custom UIMessages) talks mainly of modifying the simple LabVIEW OI. It's found here under:
NI Home > NI Developer Zone > Development Library > Measurement and Automation Software > TestStand > User Interface > UIMessages > General
or
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/7AEA63EF2FAD485C86256D210073725C
Has anyone modified the Full-Featured operator interface to incorporate UIMessages as outlined in the above article? It seems strange that the article only covers mods to the Simple OI - Configure Event Callbacks.vi to make this work, which leads me to thinking that mods to the all-singing-all-dancing are perhaps more complex.
Any suggestions before I embark on trying to mod the Full-Featured OI?
I'm using LabVIEW 7.1.1 and TestStand 3.5 under XP SP2.
Any assistance, greatly appreciated.

Hi,
There is not much difference between the Simple and the Full Version when it comes to the UIMessage. You will find the same setup in the Full version therefore you can use that document and apply it the the same way. You probably will find that the full version has implemented more of the basic functionailty of TestStand.
Hope this helps.
