Using expression in the Expected String Value field?

Hello,

I have a sting value test step in TS 3.5. Labview module passes a string to Step.Result.String (Data Source) and I want to compare that string against a string which is in one of my global variables (FileGlobals.string). Can I just put FileGlobals.string in to the Expected String Value field? Or should I do the comparison in the LV? Or...?

Yes you can may enter the Variable into the field

I was just wondering because there is not a button for launching Expression Browser window in TS 3.5.

I think support for expressions in the Expected String Value was added in 4.0
