how to pass VISA I/O from one module to the next

Hi,

I have read some threads but still confused. I also read: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6FA2495A26DCD40086257A01006A80A9.

I have implemented what was outlined in the knowledge base link above.

I am still not able to pass VISA resourses from one LabVIEW module to the next.  Do I have to insert "Locals.VisaRef" in each VI's in/out that uses the instrument?

Your VIs don't need any modification at all. They should just have the VISA resource input control and the VISA resource out indicator. These are the TestStand parameters that you connect to.
