Did you mean:

interface name unknown

I use a CTA streamline (Constant Temperature Anemometer 90C10) to work with hot wires.

I connect a function generator to this CTA and I read the signal from Labview program. The signal it gives me is wrong. The same thing if I connect a hot wire to the CTA.
I went to measurement and automation explorer: in ports (serial and parallel): COM 2 (where I connect the CTA), it shows that the interface name is unknown. Why this, is it the problem why I get a wrong signal?
Thank you for your help.

You've posted to the TestStand board and you should probably post to Instrument Control. Please provide some addtional information. I'm not sure where you are getting this message in MAX. A screen shot would help. Also, if you have trouble with a serial instrument, I would recomend you try it in Hyperterminal. If you would explain what you are doing in your program or provide the actual VI. Is the code for the instrument something you wrote or code you got from the vendor? Just saying the reading is wrong is kind of vague. Provide details.
