monitoring process

Hello,

I'm really new to Teststand so please excuse me.

I am building a sequential test with LabView based steps.

I need also to have a process (vi) running all of the time to monitor the health of the DUT, if it goes outside parameters, then the power should be removed & test aborted.

I have invetisgated "Run Async VI" and also read on the forums about using a sub-sequence.

In my experiement with Async VI i was not able to see how to pass variables into the VI (Module tab is missing) or take pass/fail output.

And i not not fully understand how to make a sub-sequenece.

Could someone please tell me which is the best solution, and walk me through the implementation?
