Hi,
I get the attached messages when launching TestStand 4.
These messages do not appear when I have admin rights (not the company IT policy default!).
I am not able to run tsverselect.exe as a standalone application (I have not tried this when I have admin rights) .
I have seen a few posts which appear to be similar problems, but cannot find a fix.
Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

The version switcher must be run as admin in TestStand 4.0. It is like an installer, it registers COM servers and does other installer like things.
You might consider upgrading to TestStand 4.1 or higher as these versions are explicitly designed to work when run as a standard user. Also if you are using Vista or Windows 7 then I would recommend using at least 4.1 for Vista and 4.2.1 for Windows 7. Also, the version switcher that comes with TS 4.2.1 (maybe 4.2 as well) can be run by a standard user.
Hope this helps,

Also, installing the eval version of TestStand 4.2.1 will give you the 4.2.1 version switcher so you might want to do that as a workaround if you need to version switch as a standard user.
