What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:
The main motto of our project is to eliminate the man power in operating the common home appliances like fan, tube light, television, refrigerator, etc. The project's main aim is to serve the physically challenged persons who are unable to control the appliances easily. They face difficulties when the appliance control board is in a greater height or placed distantly from their place.
How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:
The project uses VRS module i.e. Voice Recognition System module to control the appliance. The person needs to give command from his/ her place alone to control the appliance. Hence it helps the physically challenged persons to control the appliance from the place they are sitted. In this way the project helps people who are visually impaired or physically challenged.
Description of Project:
The main motto of our project is to eliminate the man power in operating the common home appliances like fan, tube light, television, refrigerator, etc. This is achieved using the HM2007 voice recognition IC with which we can store up to 40 commands. A voice input is fed in to the HM2007 IC. This is the voice that the IC would recognize each time and no other voice can be used to control the device. Also the words are stored in the 8k RAM. When the person gives the command the HM2007 compares the command with the list of words stored in it and enables the corresponding pin. The output of the HM2007 is interfaced with the PIC16F877 microcontroller which is used to drive the appliances. A keypad is provided to change the voice control person.
