What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:

For the farmer it is difficult to go in the farm at a regular interval of time so we made a Automated farm monitoring system which can be useful for the farmer to check or monitor the condition of the farm at a regular instant of time. Since the mobile handset is used by the most of the farmer so integrating the technology to this platform is very essential.

How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:

Automated farm monitoring system wil analyze the data received from sensors and it will send the condition of the farm in the form of text to the mobile handset of the farmer.So farmer can take step on the basis of that data. It will reduce the physical  work of farmer.

Description of Project:

Automated farm monitoring system is basically divided into three stages .In first stage the data received from the sensor,sensors are interfaced through atmega 16 microcontroller to the laptop.laptop process the data through LabVIEW and send it to the ARM processor kit,ARM processor kit act as a bridge bitween GSM module.ARM kit is programmed with AT command and Mobile no. of the farmer. ARM kit transfer the recevied data from laptop to gsm module.GSM module send the received data on the basis of AT command to the mobile cellphone of the farmer. And finally the data wil get received by the mobile handset of the farmer.
