Description of Project:
A pressure regulator is a valve that automatically cuts off the
flow of a liquid or gas at a certain pressure. Regulators are used to allow high-pressure fluid supply lines or tanks to be reduced to safe and/or usable pressures for various applications. The oil pumped using the compressor has a variable pressure and we intend to manipulate the output pressure based on the input we receive using the pressure transducer. The feedback from the transducer helps in sensing the input pressure and correspondingly helps the system to drive the pressure back to its prescribed level. The pressure intended is manipulated using servo drive driven by a servo motor which pulls the prime mover back and forth to control the pressure intended by the user. The existing method has been controlled using programmable logic control .it contains the many demerits such as long processing time, less accuracy and less efficiency, which will derate the entire processing. In order to overcome these demerits we are proposing the LabVIEW based servo controlled pressure regulator. By using the LabVIEW platform the user can monitor the pressure and flow meter readings in real time module within a micro seconds. so that it will increasing the reliability and efficiency of the servo controlled pressure regulator.
