What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:
Our project proposes the simple way of electricity power saving system with low cost and efficiently. By implementing our project in the real time environment surely we can able to save unwanted utilization of power, at the same time we can able increase the existing power also.
How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:
By using GSM, we turn ON and OFF our home appliance by sending a message
Description of Project:
The main theme of our project is to fix a “POWER SENSOR” next to the power meter which was provided by the government of India for the each and every home. Here the power sensor is used to monitor weather the electric power is used by the load in the home or not, similarly the door sensor is used to monitor weather the door is locked or opened. The load may be any electric or electronic devices.The enabling and disabling of the door sensor is controlled by the opening and closing of the door in the particular house. The power sensor operates under certain predefined value.
When the door is closed (or) locked if there is a variation in the power flow in the power sensor due to any active load in the house, it will be detected by the power sensor. The analog signals generated due to variation in the flow of power sensed by the power sensor are converted into digital signals using Analog to Digital Convertor (ADC) and this digital signal is given to Microcontroller. This microcontroller enables the GSM MODEM for intimate to the owner of the house to the necessary steps to save the power supply.
The GSM MODEM is used to transmit the alert message to the owner of the house through the medium of air. Then the further power supply to the particular house is depends upon the owners response.
