Project Title:

Online measurement of pH neutralization of water

What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:

Drainage water cannot be used for domestic purposes,

Acid and base cannot be added manually to neutralize water,

pH values are difficult to feed into database


How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:

Neutralization of pH and to make water fit for domestic purpose,

Automation in neutralization usage of acid and base,

pH readings are sent timely to e-mail





Description of Project:


LABVIEW technique was the powerful graphical programing language that had its root in operation, automation control and data recording for the wastewater system with multiple contaminants of heavy metals such as; Cu, Cr, Cd, Fe, Ni & Zn from the electroplating process. pH of water was the objective function of the treatment process. The flow rate of chemical reagent (acid or base) was the more effective variablewhich could use as the manipulating variable. Advanced optimization methods such as single and multi-objective genetic technique were used to find the optimum desired value (pH of water) and the decision variables(flow rate and inlet concentration of chemical reagent). The pH process system dynamically behaved as a first order lag system with dead time. The control system of the non-linear unsteady state wastewater treatment system had been developed depending upon the dynamic behavior of the process.
