Project Title: SAHARA-GUIDANCE SYSTEM FOR THE BLIND
Hardware & Software Used: ANDROID SMART PHONE, NI LABVIEW 2010, NI VISION DEVELOPMENT MODULE
What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application: Interfacing the Android Smart phone's Camera to Labview and processing the image acquired from the camera
How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem: We generate an audio output from Labview about the obstacles around the subject. the audio signal tells the subject about the obstacles in the surrounding by mentoining its name. hence the subject can naviagate on it's own without other assistance.
Description of Project:We have used LabVIEW to create a guidance system for the visually impaired by acquiring images from a mobile camera, sending it to LabVIEW where we process it and subsequently generate an audio output in which helps to navigate the subject
