What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:

It many a times happen that the driver while driving a car misses the road signs because of giving attention to the road. He might miss a spead breaker sign and runs on a speed breaker with high speed resulting in a jump. Or he might miss the speed limit sign and crosses the maximum speed.

How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:

Our system will prompt the driver of various road signs encountered while driving with voice commands. Due to this he will be alerted of all the road signs without even seeing any sign on the road. This will help him to drive softly and efficiently.

Description of Project:

There will be a camera fitted on the either side of the car. It will continously capture the video and see if there is any road sign with the help of LabView. If any sign is encountered, LabView matches the sign with the saved traffic signs. After a successful match, it will give a signal to Arduino microcontroller to play the corresponding file for the sign matched. Now the MP3 shield connected with the Arduino will pick the file from the SD card and plays it via the car speaker or any other speaker connected through a 3.5 mm jack.
