What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:

To simplify inventory management, ability to take large number of orders throughout world and increase automation in inventory system

How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:

we have used robots to bring inventory to dispatch zone and and also loading of products is done by robots, Labview gives interface between employee and robots.

Description of Project:

In the todays scenario the many because of the globalisation business firms are emerging and expanding their boundaries. Due this many business firms took the shelter of ecommerce for the selling. In order to fulfil the requirements of consumers efficiently, company should have proper inventory setup and many human labour required to do the same. The human labour will yield problems associated with human limitations. So, the business firm will need automated way of managing the inventory and the handling the order of consumers with very little human intervention.

In this system, an interface is provided to a human employee where he will get orders around the globe. So, this interface will be connected to ‘n’ number of robots. These robots are capable of communicating with each other and with the centralised interface. The robots will recognise the orders, find the same in the inventory and will carry the to the dispatch area.

The main challenge is to establish communication and co-ordination between the robots so that they are able to carry the necessary orders one point to another without colliding with other sibs. Loading and unloading the orders on and from the robot.

In order to achieve the goal the hardware we will need is the webcam, a robot capable of carrying the load. The software part comprises of the piece of code for reading barcodes, keeping track of inventor and creating the link between the robots.
