Unfortunately there has been no any updates for 8310 since 2005.
What operating system are you usng? If you are using Windows XP, do you have
any service pack installed?
Have you read the CardBus-8310-to-PXI Expansion User Manual yet? Find the toubleshooting section.
Where did you see D630 has been certified by NI? I found a list of tested laptops but D630 was not there.

Hi,
Although not on the approved list, I was told by another NI engineer that it had been tested OK in the States. Re-installed Windows on re-formatted drive, then followed instructions in new manual you gave me link to. It didn't behave as per the write up but it has now successfully installed and shows up OK in device manager.
The old windows installation was behaving oddly and I suspect this is all it was.
