When I insert two cards Ballard MIL-STD-1553 in a Pxie-1085 chassis (hybrid slot number 9 and 11) , these cards are not seen by the device manager in Windows and also not seen by the BTIT32 application (card not present).

Hi Fleg,
Could you please tell us more on your system? Are you using and Embedded controller in your PXIe-1085 or a MXI remote link?
Also, are your MIL-STD-1553 in the PXI or PXIe format?
Thanks
Junior

Hi Jun,
I use a NI PXIe-PCIe8381 (NI Part Number 782522-01) MXI-Express for PXI Express to interface my chassis with the computer. The MIL-STD-1553 (NI Part Number 784799-01) is a PXIe card.
Thanks
Fleg

Hi Fleg,
Can you try using those cards on a full PXIe slot (non-hybrid).
Also, could you post here a screenshot of what you see in MAX in both cases (boards in slot PXIe, boards in slot hybrid).
Thanks
Junior

FYI Junior - These modules are PXIe, so uses a full PXI slot won't matter. Additionally, these modules won't show up in MAX on a Windows system (they will on an RT system). Having a screen shot of MAX is still a good idea here, though.
Fleg - Are you able to see the chassis itself in MAX? I want to determine whether this issue is specific to the Ballard modules or a larger MXI issue. Also, what driver are you using? The most recent one can be found here:

Hi Captain_K
I confirm, there is no difference between these two types of chassis (test with PXIe-1095 and PXIE-1085 hybrid)
The ballard 1553 card is not seen by MAX but is displayed by the device manager (only one card in the chassis, slot 9) and the BTIT application
I updated the driver without improving the situation

Hi FLEG,
Thank you for the screen shots. Everything now seems to appear as it should. As a note, these modules will not show up in MAX (they don't use the NI VISA kernel in a Windows environment).
To use the modules in LabVIEW, make a note of what the card number is in the BTITST32 application (in your case, it's Card 0) and use that as the card number input for the initialization portion of the code.

Hi Captain_K,
I sended these screen shots with only one 1553 card in the chassis. When I put the second card in the chassis, BTIT32 does not see any 1553 cards (card not present).
(same with the device manager, the cards are not detected and does not appear)

Ah, I misunderstood what you were trying to show. This is strange.
Are both cards LV-222-550-000 modules?
Can you perform the following for me:
This will give me card and SW versions information.
Lastly, do you have another computer that you test with? At this point, I'm not sure if this is related to the host computer or the 1553 hardware.
