Hi,
I have the following question :
What is the behaviour of the PXI 1042 in case of overtemperature inside or outside it?
Is it automatically shutting down to get it protected or other?
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
No, in case of overtemperature the PXI-1042 doesn't shut down.
The chassis power switch has an integrated LED. If the power switch LED is flashing green, the air-intake temperature has exceeded the chassis operating range.
You could use this API to generate an alarm in case of overtemperature : http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/24FA691BD32B969D862574AA006EB4E9
hope this informations will help you,
