Hello,
I am using two chassis PXI-1033 wich are equiped with a PXI-6225 AI (Masterboard of both chassis), a PXI-6723 AO (Slaveboard), two PXI-6624 CTR (Slaveboard) and a PXI-4220 AI (Slaveboard). Each board uses the MasterTimeBase (10 MHzRefClock) of the PXI-6225 which is internal routed (in the Master chassis) to the line PXI_Trig7 and which is external (to the Slave chassis) routed to the line PFI5 of the chassis number 1 and then routed to the line PXI_Trig7 of the chassis number 2. It means that each borad of both chassis has the same MasterTimeBase. It works correctly !
Now, I would like to synchronise the start of the acquisition and the generation from the following boards: PXI-6225 AI (Master), PXI-6723 AO and PXI-4220 AI. I have tried to do it so: I read an external digital start trigger on the line PFI0 of both chassis, then I route it through the line PXI_Trig0 of both chassis respectively in order to start the acquisition and the generation at the same time but it does not work properly ! For example, if I read waveform samples which have been caught by the board PXI-6225 from chassis number 1 and at the same time waveform samples which have been caught by the board PXI-4220 also from chassis number 1, the both times called t0 are not the same, it is almost a difference of 1, 2 or 3 milliseconds ! Is this logical ? What is wrong ?
The next step will be to get the same start time from both acquisitions (PXI-6225 and PXI-4220) and from the generation (PXI-6723) of the chassis number 1 and from both acquisitions (PXI-6225 and PXI-4220) and from the generation (PXI-6723) of the chassis number 2 ! But first, it must run properly on the same chassis !
Thanks for your help.
