hello!

I am actually using NI PXIe-1071.The Input source is AC but my requirement is to power up my PXIe through DC Input. Can u suggest any power distribution solutions like DC-DC Converters or modules with multi voltage levels meeting the power requirements of PXIe.

Will AC power not be avaialbe where you are using this chassis?  The chasis powered by AC input as you stated.  If only DC is available, you will need a DC/AC inverter to use this chassis.

Here are the Power Input specs:

Input voltage range................................. 100 to 240 VAC

Input frequency ...................................... 50/60 Hz

Input current rating................................. 4-2 A

Line regulation
3.3 V................................................ <±0.2%
5 V................................................... <±0.1%
±12 V .............................................. <±0.1%

And a link to the user manual:

if i don,t have the AC source to power up and I have 28 Volts, then what do u suggest? Using inverter is 2nd option as there will be losses, are there any options to power up using DC to DC converters, any solutions u suggest. In case of inverter, what are the suggested solutions.Which inverters to be used or advised?

You will need a power inverter to do this.  We don't sell these and therefore I can't give a specific recommendation, but you will want to make sure that you don't get a low-quality inverter.  It can cause problems if the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) is above 5%, or has a single harmonic with THD above 3%.  This is also the standard for wall outlets in the US.

For this chassis, max power draw is ~250W, so I would suggest getting one that can handle at least 300W to account for losses and particular environmental conditions.

In addition to the power requirements of the chassis, you'll also need to account for the power that the PXI modules themselves require. The power requirement on each voltage rail can be seen in the specificaitons document for each card.

Check out this KB for more info on performing a power budget.
