I would like to use ECC RAM with a PXI LabVIEW RT controller. Is the included RAM that comes with the controllers ECC RAM? Are there any details or specifications on the RAM used?
If the included RAM is non-ECC, will the system still work if I install it? I know that the newer controllers use standard SODIMM RAM. Is it possible to install any SODIMM RAM, or is there a specific compatibility list?

Hi Isaac-
The specific RAM depends on the controller. Here are a couple of links to KnowledgeBase articles on our website that discuss the specific types of RAM for our controllers:
KnowledgeBase 2DK6SN58: VXI/VME/PXI Controller RAM
KnowledgeBase 555B4171: PXI Controller RAM Manufacturer Part Numbers
National Instruments has RAM upgrade instructions in each controller's user manual. We recommend using the specific RAM offerings that come from National Instruments because they are tried and tested. The KB 2DK6SN58 linked above lists the RAM offerings for each controller.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions and best of luck with your application!
