Ethernet Packet Detection Settings

Hi,

I am using the
PXI-1031 Chassis
PXI-8106 Embedded Controller

The goal is the run the Benchmarking program and one of the notes say to set the ethernet driver to polling.  However when I open MAX and go to the PXI Image to the Advanced Etherenet Settings, I see the Packet Detection option, however, the polling option is grayed out.

Thank you all for you help!

Hi,

Could you give us a bit more information?  Are you opening MAX on the embedded controller, or is it running the real-time operating system?  Also, can you provide a link to this document you're referring to?  Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry.  We are using Real Time and the source is http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5423.  For the polling mode.

Hello Kevin,

Is the card's mode set to TCP/IP Network?  If Help is selected in Advanced Ethernet Settings, notice that the option will be disabled if the mode is not set to TCP/IP Network.  Are you connected through a network or straight to a computer with a crossover cable?

Regards,
