[FlexRIO adapter module] unknown I/O module (NI5791)

I only read EEPROM instead of writing on the host side. I am attaching the host file just in case.

This problem showed up only after the update failure. Before this program works fine.

I need to add that I rechecked my notes that I only altered the .fam file but not the CLIP file. In all case I didn't compile the .vi file and only checked with the status tab. Thanks for letting me know that this is a stupid move. Now would you mind telling me what potential result am I expecting here?

The danger with modifying the expected IO Module ID is that the FPGA may think a different FAM than is actually present has been inserted and turn on the power rails to the FAM. If the wrong FAM was iserted when this happens you'll likely be driving inputs into outputs or vice versa on the fpga at the wrong voltage levels. This will likely break both the FAM and the FPGA.

And it looks like the host vi you attached jsut reads from the eeprom so I have no idea how it got placed in the state its in. My advice is to RMA it.

I'll try for RMA then. Thank you very much for the explanation and help!
