Help with Error Msg

You'll have to forgive me, I am not a tech, just the operator. I have a an NI PXI 6551 Digial Data Generator/Analyzer

I have recently started receiving the following error msg and need help in resolving the issue. the error is:

ERROR - 1074115589 occurred at niHSDIO fetch waveform (1D U8).vi

Driver status: (Hex 0xBFFA4BFB) data requested has been overwritten in the device memory.

As i said I am an operator. The company who designed and installed the system no longer supports the system.

I need help in resolving the issue

Hi Phil,

• Has anything in the system changed recently? Like a software update or hardware change?
• Can you test with a new cable? If the cable is old, it might be inducing so latency in the system causing a backup in data flow.
• Can you send over a MAX Tech Report on the system? This will give us all of the driver versions you're working with to see if there was a bug or something. Instructions for a MAX Tech Report are in the link below.

• Do you get this error on every run or just intermittently?

Hey Captain

Considering this is a trainer located on a Naval Base can I call you Skipper?

Anyway...the problem just started about 2 weeks ago and it is consistent. I pulled the connecters and cleaned the contacts. when I initialize the system the card indicates it is "Active" and "Acessing" the information. I get to approximately 80Mb before the system crashes.

I am using the original software that came with the system. Ni Ver 5.0.0f1 I was debating on upgrading the system but I am not sure that would fix the problem.

I have attached the MAX tech report as requested. Again....I am just an operator. The techs walked away from this project about 2 years ago and I have been on my own so any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
