High Power Control with Labview

I am currently working on a multi input/multioutput device that needs to control 1.5 A (70 VAC) I want to use Labview to make the controls 'easy to use' and I am wondering, where is the best place to start?

From the university, I have borrowed.. a PXI - 1050 and a PXI 8190 and we currently run Labview 8.0. I would like to be able to control the pulse wave, is freq and duty cycle and note the power going to each output.

Could you please point me in the right direction, do I have the right tools. I will have a total of 8 inputs/8 outputs with Temperature.

Any help would be nice, I'm a biomed with no idea were to start.

When you say you have a PXI 8190, I assume you mean either an 8195 or 8196 PXI controller?  If so, you can think of this as a laptop computer and the PXI Chassis as an extended PCI bridge with some extra timing and sync lines.  To control your inputs and outputs you will need additional hardware.

When you say you have 8 inputs and 8 outputs with temperature, what are these inputs and outputs?
