How do sync data acq between two PXI chassis?

I have a pxi-1010 chassis with an 8176 processor that is linked to another pxi-1010 chassis (no processor) via mxi-3. I have four 6071E analog input cards in each chassis. The primary chassis uses thr RTSI line to sync the 6071E cards to get data at 200 Hz every 1/2 second. How can I sync the 6071 E cards on the extension pxi chassis? Does the MXI-3 connect the RTSI buss to the second chassis?

No, the MXI-3 connection will not connect the two chassis's RTSI lines together. However, you can take advantage of the PFI lines on two of the DAQ boards to output/input these signals between chassis.

In fact, here is an example program that demonstrates synchronizing two boards using the PFI lines.
