This is a basic question...
On LabView 7.x, I used to target my realtime PXI computer from Windows XP, start the realtime VI, and then change the LabView target back to Windows XP. This would close the front panel in Windows, but leave the VI running on the realtime system.
Now I'm using LabView 8.5 and I'm using a project that targets the realtime computer. I can run the VI on the realtime computer, but I don't know how to close the front panel in windows without the VI on the realtime computer stopping running! In other words, I'd like to get the realtime VI going, and then have my Windows computer be free from that. I've discovered that if I close the VI front panel in Windows, it stops on the realtime computer. Ditto if I exit the project in Windows.
Can anyone tell me how to do this with projects in LV 8.5?
