How to Migrate from PXIe-1073 to PXIe-1083

Solved!
Go to solution

Good morning, colleagues,

Could you help me with the following: I need to migrate a PXI from the PXIe-1073 to the PXIe-1083.
My question now is how it communicates, since the 1073 has a cable on the back that goes to the PC. But the 1083 no longer has one; instead, it has Type-C ports on the front. Could you give me an idea on how to connect it to the PC?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards.

PXIe-1083 uses Thunderbolt. You need a laptop or desktop with motherboard that has built-in Thunderbolt interface.

Third-party PCIe-to-Thunderbolt cards are not supported. Reference: Connect PXIe Systems To PCIe-to-Thunderbolt™ Interface Cards

Thanks for the prompt response.

I've already verified the type of Thunderbolt card I need for my PC, as well as the MXI-Express Thunderbolt active cable.

I appreciate the support.

Best regards.
