How to fix "Ni-visa server unable to start listener thread"?

I installed on the 8096:

- visa 3.2

- visa server 3.2

- ni-daqmx 7.4

- traditional ni-daq 7.4

- intel 8254x ethernet driver 1.1.0.3.0

- ni-watchdog 2.1.3

- ni-rio rt 1.2.0

- ni-sync 1.2.0

- datasocket for labview rt 4.2

- labview real-time 7.1

When I boot it up I get:

NI-VISA server unable to start listener thread

NI-VISA server failed to start

Hey Tony,

I was reading up on the errors you were getting and I think the best thing to try first would be to reinstall your VISA drivers.  I noticed there have been two CARs filed where people were seeing the same issue.  One of them claimed that on their RT controller, they just had to install the driver twice and it worked fine after that.  Please give this a try and let us know how it turns out.

Hello, I upgraded to visa 3.3.1 and it solved the problem.
