How to generate PWM signal with crank signal in the HIL system?

Hi everyone! I am dealing with a project about vehicle Hardware in the loop (HIL). When generating the PWM signal, a labview vi of PXI 7831R is used. But I do know the relationship between the crank signal and the PWM signal. Is there anybody who is familiar with vehicle HIL?
