How to modify Attribute ID for PXI-5421?

I am trying to communicate with my PXI-5421 card in slot 2 of a PXI-1042 chassis. When I run my VI, I get the following error:

Error -1074135028 occurred in niFgen Initialize.vi

Possible reason(s):

Attribute ID not recognized.

I also get a returned Hex Code of 0xBFFA00C and the source is listed as niFgenInitialize.vi<ERR> Attribute ID not recognized.

Can you please help me understand what the Attribute ID needs to be and where do I need to set this up so I don't receive this error upon initialization of the card PXI-5421 waveform generator card.

Is this an issue with the backplane since when I Open the VISA test panel and on the Template/viSetAttribute or Template/viGetAttribute tabs I execute the VI_ATTR_TMO_VALUE I get a red return status of xBFFF001D. Attached you can find the snapshots.

Hi Roxanna,

I think we first need to make sure that your driver is installed properly. I would reccomend either repairing your driver (KB 2V97P72H: How Do I Uninstall or Repair National Instruments Software?) or upgrading to NI-FGEN 2.8.

Once we make sure we have a proper driver installation, I would try to use the FGEN Soft Front Panel or run one of the LabVIEW example VIs (Help»Find Examples) located under the FGEN folder (Hardware Input and Output»Modular Instruments»NI-FGEN). If you still get an error while running an example, please post an image of that error.
