How to multiplex inputs to the Agilent 4294A impedance analyzer?

Hi,

I am using the Agilent 4294A impedance analyzer to sweep through the frequency range of 40Hz to 110MHz and measure the impedance of an input. I would like to multiplex 50 inputs into the analyzer and use LabVIEW software to control switching between these inputs. I am not sure which module to use and was wondering if anyone has any guidance in this regard.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nika

Hi Nika,

Would you please clarify your question?

Are you able to input 50 signals into your 4294A?  Is the device supposed to be able to multiplex 50 inputs?

Have you downloaded the driver for your device?  If not, you can find it at:

http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=5039

Sammy

Hi,

Yes I have installed the driver and am able to take measurements of one sample (it sweeps through frequencies from 40Hz-110MHz and measures the impedance at each frequency). The device is only able to take one input but I would like to connect it to 50 samples and control the measurement of each sample by using a multiplexer. I hope to control this via LabVIEW. I have seen the multiplex modules offered by NI but am unsure which is appropriate for my task, if any.

Thanks.

Hi Nika,

You need an SCXI system to be able to do that.

Please call National Instruments to get a system that would match your needs.
