I'm involved in creating an instrument based on a system with a PXI-RT controller and a number of PXI cards. We have a number of measurement functions on the RT host, that uses the functionality of the PXI cards.
To incorporate this instrument into our ATE, I'd like to be able to access these measurement functions in a similar manner as we do with a "traditional" instrument, e.g. SCPI over TCP/IP or VISA. And in the next step these should be available in an IVI-driver.
Are there any examples available to achieve this?
OR... is there a better way? The firm requirement is that I should be able implement an IVI-driver for the instrument.
