Installation and Recognition of PCIe-8361 in PXI-1033 System

Upon loading Vista after activating my PXI chassis, I receive the following prompts/errors:

Windows could not load the installer for System.  Contact your hardware vendor for assistance.

searching...

Insert the disc that came with your PCI to PCI Bridge(i tried both the NI PXI Controller disc and the PXI Platform Services disc)

Could not find driver software

Windows Scan for driver ->

Windows could not find driver software for your device

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software

Despite all this, Device Manager does not show any driver missing, and I was able to use my digitizer using the NI Scope Express Vi (thanks a lot John!)

Hi, I'm still having issues.  In addition to notifying me that my instrument wasn't installed (upon startup), the NI Scope application isn't functioning properly - both in the stand-alone application and the LabVIEW vi.  It doesn't seem to measure a DC signal.  Autoadjusting sets it to AC Coupling, and when I switch to DC coupling, the signal on the screen freezes.

Alias,

Thank you for posting on the NI Forums. Are you referring to the NI-Scope Soft Front Panel when you mention the stand alone application?  Could you also tell me which PXI Scope you are using. I seem to remember about an issue with setting DC Coupling with a certain input impedance. What is the input impedance that you are setting your device to? Could you also tell me which version of the NI-Scope driver that you currently have. Thanks.

Alias,

I just recently realized that in a older post you mention that you have a 5114, I was also able to look into what  I mentioned earlier about the coupling. For the 5114, you can not have AC Coupling for a 50 ohm input impedance. Are you doing any Analog Edge Triggering with your application?
