Installing DAQmx on NI 8176 controller

Hello,

I am working w/ a NI 8176 embedded controller in a PXI-1042 chassis.  I've been having trouble having MAX recognize the cards in the chassis.  I have been trying to install DAQmx 9.2.3 and I get this message when I start in the install,

"Cannot continue because of the following unresolved dependencies:

Run-Time Engine for Web Services 3.1.0 requires LogosXT 5.2.1

DataSocket for LabVIEW Real-Time 4.7.0 requires LogosXT 5.2.1"

Thanks,

Tony

Hi Tony,

I believe this a pretty common message when you are installing software to an RT target and mismatch the versions, but it should be doing this for you automatically?

Can you check your RT images folder and show me what's in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\RT Images\LogosXT

Do you have this folder?

Also, Web Services and DataSockets aren't really dependencies of DAQmx, so you could just unselect those for install and move on to troubleshooting the original issue.  I do believe that Web Services are selected by default, but unselecting it shouldn't cause any issues with getting your cards to show up in MAX.

Hio there,

I´ve the same problem while installing scan-engine. datasocket and others....The installing abbords while the System requires LogosXT 5.2.1

all the shown folders exist on my system, too. The installing prozess shows some version mismatch between host and network system (CompactRio 9022).

So, where can I unselect the LogosXT function?

Greeting

Tommy

Hi Tommy,

LogosXT is used in the backend of a lot of our communications stuff and is needed for scan engine, you do not want to unselect it.  Can you try selecting all of uninstall on the 9022 and then reinstalling?  If that doesn't do it, its formating the 9022 takes about 10 seconds and is worth a shot.

If you are still having issues, can you post MAX reports for your system and the 9022?

Thanks,
