Installing windows in 8196'RT embedded controller

1. Does it is possible to install Windows XP in 8196RT embedded controller which already have a Labview RT OS. If yes how its possible, does Labview RTOS recognizes the USB CDROM.

2. Can I retrieve back the labview embedded RT licence back later.

3. Does NI supplies 8196RT with both windows and RTOS preloaded.

4. Does 8196RT or 8196 compatible with windows vista

Hi Hameed,

The PXI 8196 controller can come with either the Real Time OS or Windows OS installed.  Regarding Dual-boot system, you may find the following knowledgebase article useful.  Regarding the Windows Vista compatibility, you may find this knowledgebase article useful.  Hope this helps!
