As part of research project, I need to perform some high speed data collection and for that purpose I am trying to setup a data acquisition setup. For some reasons that is not very clear to me, the engineers that worked before me decided to use a chassis (PXIe-1071) and the remote controller/bus expansion module from Adlink (PXIe-8638). I have been trying Windows 10 with Intel Xeon CPU system as the host but there was no link and the NI-Max didn't show the devices listed. I am now trying on a Linux system to see if that approach works. I am wondering if anyone has experience with a similar situation and might have some tips for me to make some progress.
